This year has presented us with many unique challenges, so the look of our program has changed. We are offering a virtual program for Watkins Glen students that are currently in grades 3 through 8. Our in-person program is on hold for now, but we are accepting enrollment forms. Enrollment in the in-person program is limited and is based on the date the enrollment form is received. Anyone that applies for the in-person program will be put on a waiting list until we are ready to start that program. Please click on the link to fill out the enrollment form to be able to participate in either program. Students in the Blue/Maroon Cohorts can participate in both programs based on their schedule. Students in the Silver Cohort can participate in the Virtual program only.
Reach provides homework help/
and a variety of enrichment activities. During tutoring, we will also work on skill building in ELA and Math. Some of the enrichments that we have offered in the past include, magical creature gardens, hiking and geocaching, making solar ovens, drumming, drum painting, reader’s theater, cooking, virtual field trips and so much more. Reach is funded through the 21st Century Learning Grant, so we are focused on helping students be prepared for success in school, college, and in their future careers.
Virtual Program Information – The virtual program will be starting on Wednesday October 14th and will run Monday through Friday, except on days when school is closed for holidays or weather.
Virtual Schedule (Schedule is subject to change depending on needs of participates):
3:15 – 4:00 pm – Homework Help/Tutoring or at a time determined by the grade level group leader.
4:00 – 4:45 pm – Enrichments
4:45 – 5:30 pm – Possible 2nd enrichments, activities or special events.
