Building Family Strengths with Goals – A Mindfulness Monday Strategy

Building On Family StrengthsGoals for ourselves and our families are important to help us stay on track daily, weekly and sometimes hourly. Having goals will help build your family strengths; a great focus and reminder during this time of change that our families have been faced with.

Goals are often thought of as futuristic. Goals can be and should be at times such as our current pandemic, shortened; perhaps monthly, weekly or daily. Identifying goals can give you and your family a focus and how to obtain those goals together which builds of family strength. Establishing a new routine, ways to incorporate family time daily, adding relax or mindfulness activities to your daily schedule can all be goals. Accomplishing goals, large or small gives a sense of feeling good and encourages adding to or continuing to make changes to reach larger goals. This worksheet will help you, as a family identify things that you are already good at, things you are working on and identifying goals. Have fun completing as a family, keep the goals obtainable and small at first.

GoalsWhat a great idea this could be… write your goals on the back of letters that spell out goals, display and do daily or weekly checks. Replace letter goals as accomplished!
