In my fourth week I was busy in the office. I created a draft of the afternoon life skill activities and created a calendar for Cultivating communities, the summer employment for youth. I was also involved in the interview process for the positions. I assisted with calling applicants, setting up interviews and in the actual interviews. It was great to see all the youth that was interested in the position and the passionate way they spoke about the opportunity.
The other half of my week was dedicated to finalizing the attendance list for the Cornell trip. I created an interest form and reached out directly to all the students and received a great response. A lot of them were interested and it looks like we have almost ten students attending, all a mix of middle and high school. I sent and replied to many emails regarding the activities we will do during the Cornell trip. I was very busy this week in the office but I am looking forward to the next few weeks to see the result of this week.
