Week 4: Learning from Mistakes (6/19-6/25)

My fellow intern and I have started running experiments together on real participants. Unfortunately, several things have been failing. For example, the motion tracking sensors fell off during one experiment. In another, the joystick data did not save properly, the EEG stopped recording, and the participant’s camera recorded in 2x speed.

After those errors, Qi joined in on an experiment and helped us with some of the problems we ran into. The experiment ran much smoother, and we felt more comfortable overall with the process.

Although we made several mistakes at the beginning, my fellow intern and I learned from our mistakes and know what to do to prevent and fix these problems in future experiments. We also discussed the problems we ran into during our weekly lab meeting.

Meanwhile, I also have been continuing to work on the trajectory tracking task from last week, and also have been standardizing file names and cleaning data for an easier data analysis.
