Weather Outlook – September 23, 2021

Last week temperatures ranged from 2 to 4 degrees above normal. Precipitation has ranged from a hundredth of an inch to 2 inches. Base 50 growing degree-days ranged from 40 to 140.

Today temperatures will be in the upper 60s to low 70s with heavy rain due to a slow-moving cold front. Flash Flood Watches have been issued for some areas. Overnight lows will be in the upper 40s to upper 50s.

Friday temperatures will be throughout the 60s with rain lingering in eastern areas. Overnight temperatures will be in the 40s.

Saturday temperatures will be in the upper 60s to mid 70s. Overnight temperatures will be in the mid 40s to mid 50s.

Sunday temperatures will be in the mid 60s to low 70s with scattered showers possible. Overnight temperatures will be in the mid 40s to low 50s.

Monday temperatures will be in the mid 60s to low 70s with a few showers possible. Overnight temperatures will be in the low 40s to low 50s.

Tuesday highs will be in the mid 60s to low 70s with scattered showers. Overnight temperatures will be in the low 40s to mid 50s.

Wednesday highs will be in the mid 60s to low 70s. Overnight temperatures will be in the low 40s to mid 50s.

The seven-day precipitation amounts will range from one and a quarter inches to near four inches.

The 8-14 day outlook (September 30 – October 6) favors above-normal temperatures and favors below-normal precipitation.
