Weather Outlook – July 22, 2021

Last week temperatures ranged from 2 degrees below normal to 4 degrees above normal. Precipitation has ranged from half an inch to over 4 inches. Base 50 growing degree-days ranged from 100 to 200.

Today will be dry and cooler in the mid to upper 70s. Overnight lows will be in the 50s; mostly dry conditions but scattered showers are possible across the North Country.

Friday temperatures will be in the mid 70s to near 80 with some isolated showers. Overnight temperatures will be in the 50s.

Saturday temperatures will be in the mid 70s to low 80s. Overnight temperatures will be in the 60s with showers and a few thunderstorms possible.

Sunday will be warmer and humid with temperatures in the upper 70s to mid 80s. A passing cold front will bring afternoon showers and thunderstorms.  Overnight temperatures will be in the 60s.

Monday temperatures will in the upper 70s to mid 80s with isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Overnight temperatures will be in the 60s.

Tuesday highs will be in the upper 70s to mid 80s with isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Overnight temperatures will be in the 60s.

Wednesday highs will be in the upper 70s to mid 80s with showers and thunderstorms possible. Overnight temperatures will be in the 60s.

The seven-day precipitation amounts will range from a tenth of an inch to three quarters of an inch.

The 8-14 day outlook (July 29 – August 4) favors near to below-normal temperatures and favors near-normal precipitation for the state.
