Classes in their 5th year of the class cycle should identify a nominations chair(s). Ideally, this position should be filled by the fall of Year 5. When identifying chair(s), refer to the job description section. Look for someone who is knowledgeable about your class history, can be unbiased, seeks diverse representation of the class, and does not desire to hold an executive class officer role. The immediate past president is a strong candidate for this role.
Once identified and agreed upon by the class officers, the nominations chair(s) should appoint a nominating committee of two to three members. The committee may consist of former presidents, current officers, or active classmates. It is important that the committee be a diverse representation of the class as a whole. The committee is tasked with having a draft of the slate by late February of Year 5 (Reunion year).
