We encourage classes to begin their affinity networking in Year 3. Have your affinity group leaders identified and begin reaching out to classmates.
Midway through the 5-year cycle, review the class leadership and fill any class officer vacancies, letting your staff contact know for proper coding.
Plan class events in order to maintain class engagement and momentum leading to years 4 and 5 (think in-person and digitally). Consider partnering with other classes for increased attendance, fostering alumni collaboration, and opportunities for sharing best practices.
Additional Responsibilities
- Focus on increasing membership and building class treasury
- Consider planning an event that will engage a diverse or unengaged group of classmates
- Organize or join a Done-in-a-Day volunteer opportunity for classmates via CUVolunteer tool
- Document or update class history and collect class-specific memorabilia
