Year Five

Welcome to your Reunion Year! Your Reunion chairs and committee members will be working closely with the Alumni Affairs staff all year to plan and execute a successful Reunion. Planning officially begins with Reunion Kickoff (RKO) in the fall, in which Reunion Chairs, presidents, and other key committee members attend a 2-day workshop on campus. You will meet with your Reunion staff contact, local caterers, and Conference Services staff for housing tours. You will also receive a copy of the Reunion Planning Guide and begin to discuss with your class your vision for Reunion. Other benefits of attending RKO include meeting with other classes/groups who are in your cycle, talking with experienced chairs, sharing best practices, and potentially deciding to co-sponsor an event.

The Reunion website will serve as an important tool for you and your classmates, and contains information about housing, registration, FAQs regarding coming to campus, transportation, childcare, and much more.

Along with planning Reunion, a large part of year 5 is focused on succession planning. You will be asked to finalize your nominations committee, led by a nominations chair, to determine who will continue as a class officer, who will change roles, who will roll off, and who you will bring on board as a new officer.
