For Graduate Students
Students in my lab study the microbial ecology and diversity of soils using molecular and genomic techniques. Students will learn techniques from microbiology, molecular biology, genomics, and soil science and will study ecological and evolutionary theory as it pertains to microbes and their environmental impacts.
I accept Ph.D. students through the Fields of Soils and Crop Sciences and Microbiology and am a Minor advisor in Genomics. I am a member of the Cross-Scale Biogeochemistry and Climate Change IGERT Program the Cornell Genomics initiative and the Cornell Center for Comparitive and Population Genomics.
For Undergraduate Students
Opportunities exist for undergraduates to participate in ongoing research projects. Oppurtunities include: honors research, independent research for credit, summer research, and hourly work. Interested students should contact Dr. Buckley about current research opportunities.
