This course provides an introduction to microbiology for science majors.

PLSCS/BIOMI/1120: Microbes the Earth and Everything (Fall, 3 cr)
This course provides an introduction to biology through the lens of microbiology, ecology, and evolution. Students investigate the processes that sustain our biosphere, explore the impact of microorganisms on humanity, and examine the unifying principles of life.

BIOG2990: Introduction to Research Methods in Biology (Fall/Spring, 2-3 cr)
Introduction to individualized instruction in the laboratory in the performance of original research.

BIOG4990: Independent Research in Biology (Fall/Spring, 3-4 cr)
Individualized instruction in the laboratory in the performance of original research.
