#BlackWomenLead
is an innovative platform dedicated to advancing the leadership of Black Women as political leaders in global contexts. Students do research and conduct interviews with a selection of Black women political leaders who are having local and/or global impact and develop podcasts as part  final projects for the class. The result is a dynamic and innovative exposure to a range of Black women who have indeed leading and transforming the world,  one at a time.  Like Stacey Abrams, some Lead from the outside even as they work on the inside of various political machineries.  Students in this class have been exposed to a range of political leaders from Directors of ECOWAS, in Abuja, Nigeria to MP Dianne Abbott from London to Barbara Smith,  Black Feminist Icon who was a classroom visitor and who participated in a public conversation with Prof CBD. Vice President Kamala Harris and her achievements convince us that #BlackWomenLead
