Strawberries: Leaves are curled, stunted and deformed when they emerge from the crown in spring.

Cyclamen Mites

Cyclamen Mites are invisible to the naked eye. Their presence is best detected under a microscope.

Cyclamen mites cause severe upward curling and deformity of newly emerging strawberry leaves, especially in spring.

Severely curled and cupped strawberry leaves. Some yellow spotting can be seen on leaf edges. Cupping makes leaves crinkle upwards and downwards, somewhat resembling a human ear.
