Congratulations Class of 2012!

A total of 16 Agricultural Sciences students graduated this past Sunday, May 27, 2012. It was another record class for our growing major. We wish each of you the best! Don’t forget to stay in touch!

This week director Toni DiTommaso and Ag Sciences seniors Joseph (Jay) Weeks and double major in Ag Sciences and Agricultural Science Education, Joe Killian, were honored at the annual Dean’s award reception. Toni received the CALS Professor of Merit award.  Both Jay and Joe received awards for their academic excellence; Jay for Ag Sciences and Joe for Ag Sciences Education. This annual honor recognizes the highest GPA senior from each major in the College.

Senior AgSci student, Rosy made Cornell Daily Sun headlines recently about her New Zealand semester abroad last spring. Nice, Rosy!

Future scholarship funds to support major

Marcia Stofman Morton ’61 donated $750,000 to create new scholarships for Ag Sciences students. The gift is a bequest and will be realized in the future. More information about the gift was featured in this week’s Cornell Chronicle.
