Last summer, intern Katie Close compiled a bunch of resources from the web about robotic milking of dairy cows.  Here is her “Top 8 List” of websites:

This link has a lot of information on robot milking systems. There are presentations, spreadsheets, publications, and surveys  from Iowa State University.

This links to an article entitled “Do Cows Adapt Quickly to Robotic Milking.” It talks about the stress factor is higher in cows when they are pushed into the parlor.  They have some research data showing the stress decreased in cows when milked more by the robot.
