SEMINAR CODE OF CONDUCT

The Japan-US Seminar strives to provide a safe, respectful, and supportive environment to share and debate scientific ideas. We expect professional and courteous conduct from participants, sponsors, and staff at all times.

Harassment of conference attendees will not be tolerated in the presentations, Q&A sessions, social events, virtual event chats, or any other form.  Harassment may include verbalized or written offensive comments or jokes related to any aspect of someone’s identity (including, but not limited to: gender, age, ethnicity, race, career status or professional title, religion, size, sexual orientation, gender expression, or disability). Other forms of harassment may include inappropriate disruption of scientific talks, sending threats or intimidation, or sharing inappropriate or sexual images. Attendees are expected to follow the rules and regulations of the conference venue.

Participants asked to stop any behavior perceived as harassing are expected to comply immediately. If you are being harassed or observe harassing behavior, please contact one of the session moderators or organizers immediately for assistance. Organizers may take any action deemed appropriate, including immediate removal from the event or a ban from future symposium events.
