Create a new blog post, which feeds to a designated page on your site
The pencil icon will assume you want a new post (rather than a new page)
OR
Under the MySites menu, one of the “Publish” options is to add a new blog post.
Once you’ve started a new post, the menu to the right of the content pane includes tags, categories, and other information specific to posts, rather than pages.
Don’t spend time writing at this point (you can come back and update your post later on). If you need some filler text, try a “lorem ipsum” generator:
