Internship, co-op, and full time opportunities are available for both undergraduate and graduate students, primarily in Mechanical and Aerospace, Computer Science, and Electrical & Computer Engineering.  Our interns participate in real engineering design projects related to the development and construction of human space flight systems. Interns work directly with our engineers to contribute to project goals in the fields of mechanical design, fluids, aerodynamics, rocket propulsion, flight controls, electronics, avionics, enterprise software, flight software, composites, chemistry, human safety, and systems engineering. Working directly with our team, students gain real-life experience that allows them to apply classroom learning to real aerospace challenges.

Cornell ASME will hosting a panel discussion on the future of mechanical engineering. Professors’ Desjardins, Hernandez and Shepherd will present their ideas about where the field is going. The discussion will be moderated by Prof. Sachse. Questions from the audience are encouraged! Food and drinks provided.

ASME & AIAA Cornell Chapter Volunteers Help Win Medals for Local Middle School Science Olympiad Team

 

With the help of ASME and AIAA volunteers, the Boynton Middle School Science Olympiad team was able to achieve overall silver medal in the competition as well as a few gold, silver, and bronze medals for other specific events in their regional competition! Activities ranged from testing the student’s knowledge of meteorology to having the students build a helicopter device to get an egg safely to the floor. Thank you all volunteers who helped out!
