 Pressure Canner Gauge Testing information:

For National Presto canners with the “dial type” gauge, call their customer service number at 1-800-877-0441 (M – F, 9 am – 5:15 pm Eastern Time).  They will answer your questions about sending your gauge to them for testing (free) and / or replacement.  Ship the gauge to: Consumer Service Dept., National Presto Industries, Inc., 3925 North Hastings Way, Eau Clair, WI 54703. They will test and ship back at no charge, or contact you regarding replacement. For parts and other info from Presto, go to their website:  www.gopresto.com

Note that Mirro pressure canners do not have dial-type gauges…..just a weighted gauge that does not need to be tested.  But if you are looking for parts or have questions about your Mirro pressure canner, call 1-800-527-7727; press 3 for Mirro products (M – F, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm Eastern Time).  For more information on Mirro canners, you can also go to their website at www.mirro.com, scroll down to Pressure Cookers and Canners or Pressure Cooker Parts.  This will show you what is available, but they do not sell from their site.  Common parts may be available at Ace & True Value Hardware stores.

Parts for Presto, Mirro and many other different brands are available at the following:

  • www.pressurecooker-outlet.com 1-800-251-8824 (this is the number for “Red Hill General Store” who owns many online retail sites) Mirro recommends this site for parts, especially for older canners.
  • www.goodmans.net 1-888-333-4660
