Anyone who is planning on buying Dicamba tolerant seed and use one of the newer Dicamba products needs to attend a training on the use of these products. **Edited to add: since NYS has not yet registered Enginia, the training can not yet be taken. Once registered, the training will need to be taken.
At this point in time, there is no face to face training scheduled for NY or New England.
The 2021 Dicamba Applicator training is now live on: www.engeniastewardship.com.
A couple of items to notes, as of 1/6/2021:
-
- Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina do not accept online or live webinar dicamba applicator training provided by BASF.
- Engenia herbicide is registered in Alabama, Arkansas, Iowa, and Texas, however these states have not approved BASF dicamba applicator training at this time.
- At this time, Engenia herbicide is not registered for sale in Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, New York (pending NYS DEC approval), or Virginia.
State availability will be updated as Engenia gains state registrations and training approval.
Also, to enhance the customer experience the training module is built on a new platform for the 2021 season. This new platform will allow users to stop and start training, which is a significant enhancement from our prior dicamba training platform. In addition, applicators will be able to retrieve their certificates directly via the website instead of having to e-mail BASF for a copy.
When a trainee clicks on the “Start Training” button on engeniastewardship.com they will be redirected to the Adobe Captivate platform. As first-time users they will need to create an account to access the online module, however by creating an account this allows users to access the features outlined above (resume training and accessing their certificate). Creating an account (or logging in with an active account) is a requirement to take this training.
We understand that this is a change from prior years, but we think that the overall user experience will be more streamlined and also enable applicators to self-pace their online applicator training.
