Description: Sod‐forming, winter hardy-grass adapted to semi‐wet conditions but tolerates temperate drought and both acid and alkaline soils. Grown mostly for pasture, although considered less palatable than many other cultivated species. Modern cultivars are free of toxic fungal endophytes.
