Origin: Africa

Biophysical Requirements: Warm-season grass. Heat- and drought-tolerant.

Uses: Grazed by animals or mechanically chopped and hauled to animals as green forage. Also used as a summer cover crop to smother weeds, suppress root knot nematodes and increase soil organic matter.
