Description: One of the true clovers.  Thrives best in a cool, moist environment. Native to Europe. A biennial although some strains live for more than 2 years. Plants grow 3 ft. tall with many erect stems. Produces well in spring but re‐grows slowly during summer. Less winter hardy than either alfalfa or sweet clover. Used for both pasture and hay.
