Payment for Ecosystem Service (PES) programs have been implemented in a variety of domestic and international contexts. This document outlines the current state of PES programs in New York State (NYS) including three examples of PES related programs and three PES programs which are in early development or piloting stages. The program summaries and definitions will be used as a resource for CCE Educators and stakeholders across the state who are interested in learning more about existing programs and opportunities to engage in program development.
