This position involves geospatial analysis of future scenarios of photovoltaic and wind energy development, and the impacts of this development on agricultural productivity throughout New York State. Analysis will include land use change, costs of installing renewable energy on different types of land at different distances from connection points to the electrical grid, and effects on agricultural productivity. Analysis will also include modeling of future scenarios of land use change to meet the New York State legislative mandates and goals for renewable energy production.
