Job: Climate Outreach Associate Position, Hudson River Foundation, Due Jan 31

The Hudson River Foundation (HRF) seeks a colleague with scientific expertise and strong communication skills to advance climate change understanding, support resilience initiatives, and enhance educational outreach for the Hudson River Estuary in New York and New Jersey.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative, interdisciplinary team dedicated to impactful estuary research and management. As host of the NY-NJ Harbor & Estuary Program (HEP), HRF partners with organizations across the Hudson River Estuary to achieve shared goals. The Climate Outreach Associate will collaborate with the Foundation’s Water Quality Manager, staff, and partners to organize technical meetings, workshops, trainings, conferences, and workgroups.

Some highlights about this position:

  • The successful candidate will have experience with community engagement, environmental education, environmental science/management, and/or municipal planning;
  • Other requirements include an undergraduate degree in natural resources, environmental science, environmental education, urban planning, or a related field and at least five years of relevant work experience, or a Masters Degree in a relevant field and at least three years of experience;
  • This is a full-time position with a competitive salary ($65,000 to $75,000 depending on experience) and benefits that include health, dental, and life insurance; paid vacation and a 403(b)-pension plan.
