Small Grains (wheat, oats, barley, triticale)

New York State is the 9th largest oat and 27th largest wheat producer in the nation, with annual crop values of $8 million and $37 million respectively.

We conduct annual trials of new and leading spring and winter wheat, spring oat, and barley varieties at three or four locations,  evaluating the varieties for yield, maturity, and resistance to disease, lodging, and pre-harvest sprouting.

If you would like your varieties evaluated in our trials, visit our Fee Testing Programs page. For more information, contact: Mark Sorrells.
