Our lab leverages existing and designs novel sensor technologies to optimize pre-weaned dairy calf management. We focus on improving calf health through early disease detection, monitoring for recovery, and customized intervention.
Our long-term goal is to create a dynamic profile of health, disease, recovery, and resilience under different environmental and management conditions. This information would be evaluated for its utility in informing individual and group level intervention strategies as well as predicting future health and performance.
