About

Researchers and Cooperative Extension educators at Cornell University developed this website. The first version of this site was curated by Dr. Tony Shelton, International Professor Emeritus in Entomology at Cornell University. Dr. Shelton led swede midge research in New York State until his retirement in 2021. Dr. Elisabeth Hodgdon, Regional Vegetable Specialist with the Cornell Cooperative Extension Eastern NY Commercial Horticulture Program, now maintains the site. The purpose of this website is to serve as a repository of information from our research and outreach programs, which began in 2002, as well as valuable information developed by colleagues worldwide.
