Bree Petracca is a dynamic professional whose journey seamlessly intertwines psychology, entertainment, and community outreach. With a background in special education, Ms. Petracca delved into the intricacies of learning and behavioral disabilities, garnering invaluable classroom experience, fostering a unique communication style rooted in empathy and understanding.
Chasing her passions led to a nearly two-decade-long odyssey into the fast-paced realm of the entertainment industry, navigating the world of talent management and film production in Los Angeles. Alongside managing actors, models and even a rock band, Ms. Petracca oversaw a theater company. A chance meeting led to the formation of Project Alibi, an outreach program to empower the local homeless youth and veteran population. After witnessing the growth, life skills and resilience gained from the transformative power of theater; Ms. Petracca spearheaded initiatives, empowering them to craft their narratives while building industry connections.
Rooted in a childhood shaped by 4-H, showcasing ponies at The State Fair nurtured enduring local industry ties, Ms. Petracca credits the program for instilling leadership and resourcefulness. Having formerly lent her expertise to the Johnson College EMBAA program’s broadcast studio, bridging academia and industry, Ms. Petracca is excited to be joining the Cornell Department of Natural Resources and the Environment and the OneOp team, where she looks forward to lending her creative insight to their program and making a meaningful impact.
