Dr. Lynn Sosnoskie is a new assistant professor of Weed Ecology and Management for Specialty Crops in Horticulture at Cornell AgriTech. She received her BS from Lebanon Valley College in Pennsylvania, her MS in Plant Pathology from the University of Delaware and her Ph.D. in Weed Science at The Ohio State University. Since her Ph.D., Lynn has served in research and extension positions at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, University of Georgia-Tifton, Washington State University-Wenatchee, and University of California-Davis, and has emerged as one of the leading weed scientists in the US. Topics of her research and extension interview seminars concerned glyphosate-resistant Palmer amaranth and the biology, ecology, and management of bindweed. Lynn will be presenting on the interactions between glyphosate-resistant weeds and sustainable soil management.
