These workshops will gather small groups of graduate students after lunch on Thursday, May 31. You may apply for a workshop if you are not already speaking on a panel. (We will let you know before the deadline.) You may submit a paper on any topic that fits the general conference theme, “Novel Theory.”
Submit the full paper to be circulated to the workshop below. All papers should be no longer than 8 double spaced pages or 2500 words, and they should foreground a central argument.
Each group will be led by a senior faculty member in novel studies, including Amanda Claybaugh (Harvard University), Anna Kornbluh (University of Illinois-Chicago), John Marx (UC-Davis), Jesse Rosenthal (Johns Hopkins University), Jordan Stein (Fordham University), and Rebecca Walkowitz (Rutgers University). Discussion will focus on pre-circulated papers submitted by graduate students.
Deadline: March 1, 2018 (please note one-month extension)
