Sloan Visit Day Nov 3-4, 2022

Join us to learn, connect, and explore!

Welcome

Welcome to Sloan Visit Day and the 5th Biennial Percy Allen II ’75 Sloan Lecture! Registration is now open! See “Registration & Schedule” page!

Sloan Visit Day is a student-led event that offers prospective students the opportunity to meet with current students, engage program alumni, connect with program faculty, and hear from distinguished leaders in the field of healthcare management, all while discovering why studying at Cornell University and living in Ithaca, NY create a rich and rewarding experience you will treasure always.

The aim of Sloan Visit Day is to matriculate a diverse cohort of outstanding students who will individually and collectively thrive during their two-year course of study so we may improve the operation of health care systems; build just, equitable, and inclusive organizations; and create vibrant and healthy communities. We believe identifying a strong fit between student and program and matriculating the highest caliber prospective students will help us achieve this vision. Sloan Visit Day is an exciting part of our admissions process and is highly recommended for prospective students.

In 2022, Sloan Visit Day is held in conjunction with the 5th Biennial Percy Allen II ’75 Sloan Lecture in Urban Healthcare Leadership featuring:

Dr. Michael O. Ugwueke DHA MPH FACHE

You may read Dr. Ugwueke’s full bio here.

Mr. Percy Allen II

The Percy Allen II ’75 Sloan Lecture in Urban Healthcare Leadership is named in honor of the late Percy Allen II, a 1975 graduate of the Sloan Program in Health Administration. The series was established by Mr. Allen’s Sloan classmates to honor his contributions to urban hospitals and health organizations and to provide students with the opportunity to consider issues of access, excellence, community, and the quality of care in urban settings.

To our knowledge, the Sloan Program in Health Administration at Cornell University is the only MHA program to host a lectureship focused on urban healthcare leadership and celebrating Black leaders.

Please review the Registration & Schedule tab for event details.
