More than 100 families in Geneva, NY will have apples with their holiday meals this year thanks to faculty, staff and students at our New York State Agricultural Experiment Station. Apples were provided by the research program of Terence Robinson in the SIPS Section of Horticulture and bagged by volunteers. The bagged apples were donated to the Center of Concern and Community Lunch programs. Tom Burr in the SIPS Section of Plant Pathology and Plant-Microbe Biology has served on the Board of Directors for the Geneva Center of Concern for over 15 years and has led their annual fund raiser for maybe 8 or 9 years.
