This gut renovation project will reconfigure floor layouts, restore the exterior building envelope, replace the exterior windows, replace the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing & Life Safety systems, and generally modernize the facility to meet the School of Integrative Plant Science’s Instructional and Research needs in the 21st century.
- The project obtained B&P’s Construction Approval on March 23, 2023.
- FAHS Construction is the General Contractor.
- The 30-month Construction period began on July 5, 2023, and is scheduled for substantial completion in December 2025.
Progress Update
- The project remains on schedule for substantial completion in December 2025. Recent changes to mechanical ductwork may result in some delays. More info to be shared on this in the coming weeks.
- Installation of ceiling tiles has begun on Ground floor. Installation of ceiling grid is on-going on the other floors.
- Installation of piping at the lab benches on Ground, 1st and 2nd floors has been completed. The task is ongoing on the 3rd floor.
- Plaster molding work on the Ground, 1st and 2nd floors has been completed.
- Terrazzo work on the Ground and 1st floors has been completed. The task is ongoing on the 2nd floor.
- Installation of the new storefront at the breezeway has begun.
