Plant Science – domestic water shut down schedule

There has been a change for the dates for the domestic water shutdown. The shutdown on July 13th didn’t go as planned, certain shutoff valves didn’t hold so the shutdown ended up being cancelled. The following is the schedule of domestic water shutdowns that will be occurring to allow the contractor to perform various work on the domestic water piping that serves Plant Science.

• July 23 (Tuesday) – test main valve(s) starting approx. 6 am, restore water service by 7 am.
• July 25 (Thursday) – shutdown from 5 am to 10 am, water service to be restored after 10 am approximately
• July 27 (Saturday) – shutdown from 6 am to 6 pm
• Aug 10 (Saturday) – shutdown from 6 am to 6 pm

During these shutdowns no water will be available in the building, affecting bathrooms, lab safety equipment(eye wash and emergency showers), sprinkler system.
These shutdowns will ONLY impact Plant Science.
The contractor will provide fire watch during the shutdowns. The building will remain unoccupied during the 5 and 12 hr shutdowns. For the July 25 shutdown please  come in approx. 10:30 am or after.
Please plan accordingly prior to the shutdowns.
