As a follow-up to Vice Provost Siciliano’s message below to the deans, we would like to reach out to you, our Department Safety Representatives (DSRs) to ask for your assistance with the logistics for collection and distribution of any items your colleges have to contribute as a result of class suspension and research shuttering. As you are aware, the supply chain for certain items has been disrupted or delayed. Below is a brief list of critical supplies that our medical, response, and isolation teams are in need of urgently.
- Viral specimen swabs
- Surgical masks
- N95 respirators
- Face shields
- Gowns, coveralls or Tyvek suits
- Gloves
SIPS people: Drop off items in the collection boxes outside 135 Plant Science and 233 Emerson and contact Magdalen at ML16@cornell.edu who will relay info to EHS.
You can also contact Daneen Phillips directly at dp338@cornell.edu with questions or for pick-up, though she did indicate that central collection would be easier.
Thank you for all you are doing, stay safe and healthy.
