Day 30: Nov. 25, 2024, Possum Pt to Crescent River

An uneventful day so far. We just motored about 38 nm to an anchorage on Crescent River. The only thing different here is that we are subject to Georgia anchoring restrictions–setbacks from marinas, shellfish beds, etc. According to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources map, we are near a shellfish growing area (500 ft setback). Using radar, I measured our distance to the shore to be about 500 ft. The DNR map shows the restricted area a few hundred feet inland from the shore. So we appear not be be breaking the law. However, if our luck with Georgia law enforcement is the same as yesterday, we should be expecting a visit from the authorities.
