Virtual reality in classrooms allows students to mentally experience and learn things like never before. For some students in high school that are required to do a dissection and feel nervous or even nauseated by performing this task, some teachers are now opting for allowing them to participate in a virtual dissection, so they don’t miss out on grade points. Lab sciences can learn a lot from using virtual reality before performing the lab. By doing a virtual lab first, students and researchers learn their strengths and weaknesses first to eliminate and reduce possible errors before doing the procedure. As technology in classrooms continues to evolve, it’s main goal should always be not to alter, but to enhance a student’s educational experience. Since higher education schools are often research institutions, they are excellent places to experiment with new technology. If the technology fails, they will be the first to note improvements and possible weaknesses to help future classes.
