The Public Trust in Practice facilitation team created the following Agency Assessment Tools to help State Wildlife Agencies achieve better alignment with the Wildlife Governance Principles.
Principles Performance Assessment Tool (PPAT)
The PPAT is a rapid assessment tool that encourages from one to any number of individuals within the agency, section or program to express their general perceptions of: (a) how satisfied they are with the efforts made by the agency, section or program with respect to each of the 10 wildlife governance principles (WGPs), and (b) how challenging it is for the agency to align with each principle and (c) the relative importance of improving performance in alignment with each principle.
Agency Culture and Capacity Characterization (ACCC)
The (ACCC) and readiness diagnostic questions are designed to help an organization decide whether to proceed with the Agency Self-Assessment and workshop.
Agency Self-Assessment Tool and Workshop
The agency self-assessment tool measures perceptions of an agency’s alignment of traits and practices that are central to applying the wildlife governance principles.
The self-assessment tool is implemented by Cornell University staff for a fee. It is to be used in conjunction with a Wildlife Governance Principles workshop that is held by your agency with the help of outside facilitators.
