Photo Image Prompts

If image prompts leave you feeling flummoxed, look at the way Jason Chiu creates his art in Midjourney. You can also find good, basic prompt instructions in the Adobe Firefly documentation, even if you create your graphics in another bot.

Back to the amazing illustrations of Jason Chiu –really, just stop reading right now and go look — his prompts will work in Microsoft Copilot/Bing and other generative AI graphics tools. Midjourney produces incredible results, but you have to enter via Discord and be comfortable navigating that environment.

In some of Chiu’s prompts, you may notice a double colon (::) –in Midjourney, it indicates each part of the prompt should be considered individually.

Here are some of the phrases Chiu includes to produce more photographic results. I’ve added links on terms that may not  be familiar to communicators (like me) without photography or graphic design experience. These terms don’t actually incorporate the technology or device, they tell the bot you are using to create something ‘in the style of’ the phrase.
