SCOPUS Renewal, INSPEC Cancellation

The library has renewed our SCOPUS license for another five years. SCOPUS is a useful tool for researching the literature, evaluating the quality of resources using citation metrics, and performing systematic reviews. However, we had to cancel INSPEC and Derwent to provide access to important resources while staying within our limited budget. We provide some alternatives below.

INSPEC –Scopus, Engineering Village (Compendex) and arXiv.org are alternatives and cover much of the same content

Derwent – Google Patents is an alternative

Access to INSPEC will cease Aug 31, 2020. Access to Derwent may continue a few more months.

Google Scholar is another option.
