Aviation company’s archives donated to Cornell Library

Shannon Engineering, an aviation company known for performance analysis, testing, and certification of aircraft, has donated their archives of over 450 technical reports to the Cornell Library’s Division of Rare and Manuscript Collections.

Founded by Jack Shannon, the company is known for their noise attenuation “hush kits” to muffle the roar of Boeing 707s during takeoff. Some reports have been digitized, see this guide for details.
