Have you heard of LibGuides? Perhaps you are looking for a LibGuide for a course, or research and can’t find it. No need to remember the exact URL – read on to discover more.
LibGuides are designed to help you find the best resources the library has to offer and help your research. Some of them are subject based, others based upon specific courses. Usually the title of the LibGuide will indiacte what the guide is for.
Two ways you can access LibGuides:
1. Through library webpages:
- From our own library pages (Physical Sciences, Engineering, Math), look for a link indicating research guides or course guides.
- On the main library page, under Research Help, click on Library Guides. You will find several subjects to browse and clicking on them will lead to specific guides on that subject.
2. Access LibGuides directly here!
- Browse by subject, author, check out the most popular guides, browse subject tags for relevant guides.
- Use the built in search to find a specific guide – best for locating a course guide, or for a guide you know the title of.
Tip: make sure to check the date of the guide to make sure you are looking at the most up to date guide. Some are repeats from past courses but have not been removed from the guides site for various reasons.
Feel free to contact the author(s) of the guide for more help – the librarians are here for you!
