Users may be happy to learn that the loan period for Borrow Direct books has been increased to 42 days from 28 days. Many users expressed a desire to renew books, but this is not possible under the existing system. The increased loan period is a workaround to allow users a little more time to use the books.  Turnaround time for requests is about 4 business days — quicker than recall in most cases!
