Nicole was a postdoctoral associate working on the NSF-funded project Dimensions US-South Africa: Unravelling the influence of endosymbiotic bacteria on the biodiversity of Mucoromycota fungi.
In 2024, she accepted an Assistant Professor position at CalPoly Pomona, where she will continue contributing to the project.
