(preview) Why you get colors when you put two 3D-movie glasses together.

Turns out there’s two ways to make a circular polarizer. The full way is to sandwich a linear polarizer between two quarter wave plates. The cheap way is to use a linear polarizer with a single quarter wave plate.

The cheap way works only in one direction. And that’s what (I’d guess) they use in the movie glasses.

So then why the colors?
