W. Ronnie Coffman (Food)

Coffman also serves as Principal Investigator of the Agricultural Innovation Partnership, the Durable Rust Resistance in Wheat project, Driving Genetic Gain in Wheat project and the Next Generation Cassava project. He serves as Vice Chair of the Borlaug Global Rust Initiative.

Coffman’s research concentrations are in agricultural biotechnology and crop improvement with focus projects in wheat, cassava, rice and eggplant. He is the winner of the World Agriculture Prize (2013) awarded by GCHERA and Nanjing Agricultural University.
