A renovation project to renew the lower levels of Olin Library is currently in the planning stages. Project goals include construction of a centralized service point and a permanent Arts Quad entrance on the first floor, enhanced public access to the Olin/Uris tunnel and new space for the Anthropology collection on the basement level, and improved wayfinding and welcoming study space on both levels. Additionally, the mechanical systems located in the sub-basement will be assessed for modernization to improve comfort throughout the lower levels of the building.

Design is expected to commence in early 2023, with construction following in early 2024.

A tentative project schedule for Olin Library and McGraw Hall is below. The Anthropology collection move coordination is indicated by the dotted red line.
