Equine pasture management is a revolving system that requires year-round attention. Equine owners frequently expect their pastures to provide areas for exercise, training, and forage production but fail to provide proper management to achieve these objectives. Pasture management is not a one-time event; rather, it should be viewed as a revolving system. Equine owners must evaluate pasture management in the same way that they evaluate their horse management program e.g. breed, nutrition, body condition score, health, exercise/riding program, performance, rest/recovery, and general common horse sense. In this recording, you will learn about pasture ecology and management strategies that will help increase your pasture’s production and longevity.
